This Memorial Day, countless Americans will be gathering with friends and family to eat, drink, and play games – including cornhole! But have you and your friends ever struggled with keeping score at large gatherings? Typically, we use a scoreboard that plants in the ground – But as more guests arrive to your cookout, several different games can take place simultaneously, and there aren’t enough scoreboards to go around. Soon, we’re keeping score mentally and everyone’s count is different (especially as we start consuming more beers).
Rather than restarting games during midplay due to disagreements over the score, there is a perfect product to provide as an alternative to mental scorekeeping: The Scorzie. It keeps your drink cold just like an everyday koozie, but while keeping score of the game! The Scorzie is the original scorekeeping beverage holder, ideal for games up to 21 points – perfect for Cornhole! After all, once you’ve set up your game of cornhole, you’re only in need of two things: a cold beverage, and an accurate way to keep score. With this product, you’re assured both! Enjoy the following features at your next barbecue with the Scorzie:
- High quality foam insert to keep your drink cool (fits most 12 oz cans and bottles)
- Home and Away score rings that click into place to keep an accurate score from 0-21
- Durable white body to protect your beverage
- Foam lined bottom to prevent slipping and scratching
In addition to the Scorzie, we sell other cornhole accessories to enhance your game experience – Check out our other accessories on Customcorntoss.com!
Looking for a great way to make your cornhole boards stand out (especially at night)? Cornhole lights are what you’re looking for! Cornhole lights are essentially lighted rings that attach to the underside of the holes on your cornhole board. With cornhole lights, you can add style to your board allowing night play. Now, your game doesn’t have to end when the daylight does.
With various vibrant colors to choose from, our sets come with LEDs behind strong impact-resistant plastic and mounting screws to fit perfectly under your cornhole boards. There are two lights and everything you will need for installation and power in each kit. You can use them creatively in your custom cornhole board designs.
When purchasing a set of cornhole lights, you will receive two lighted rings, two 9v battery cases, and screws. The lights are designed to fit around a standard 6” hole, and mount underneath the boards so they do not affect the game.
After receiving your cornhole lights, follow the steps below to install:
- Position your cornhole board so the playing surface is facing the ground. Align your cornhole light over the hole.
- Locate the screw tabs on each light, and drill the screws through each tab.
- Drill screws through the screw tabs on the battery pack.
- Unscrew the cover of the battery pack and insert a 9v battery (not included). Screw the cover back on.
Repeat the same steps for the other board/light, and you’re done!
Want to match your cornhole bags with your new cornhole lights? We offer up to 24 different colors of cornhole bags! Browse our shop for all your cornhole necessities at Customcorntoss.com.
But fans of the game know it’s a great way to have fun and compete essentially anywhere. With its increasing popularity, cornhole tournaments are becoming more common. Earlier this year, competitors braved the cold temperatures to take part in a tournament benefiting Heritage Museum of Northwest Florida.
Although no one is quite sure where the game originated, the American Cornhole Association speculates it was first played in 14th century Germany. In America, it was popular in Ohio for decades, where it started showing up at tailgating parties for the Cincinnati Bengals. From there, it slowly migrated to other states. Cornhole is now famously known for its contribution to tailgating parties.
Because of its close association with sports, it is common for cornhole boards and bags to be customized with sport team logos or mascots.
But you don’t need to be a football fan to enjoy the game – People of all ages and abilities can play. The bags are light and easy to toss, and the rules are fairly straightforward and easy to understand. You don’t need to go to a football game to play, either – Cornhole is now a staple for backyard parties, barbeques, weddings, and family reunions. Often, it’s taken inside as a great activity for kids when the weather doesn’t permit for outdoor learning. Meanwhile, cornhole has replaced traditional games in bars and pubs, such as darts. With the right cornhole bags, you can even turn it into a drinking game!
No matter your age or skill level, cornhole is the perfect game to play anywhere with friends and family. At Customcorntoss.com, we have all the items you’ll need to bring Cornhole to your next event!
A favorite for tailgating and backyard BBQ’s, the game cornhole is popular due to its versatility. Everyone can join in on the fun, and with summer upon us, so is the opportunity to inject a little cornhole fun into our lives.
With its recent (and predictable) surge in popularity, there are more choices than ever when shopping for the perfect cornhole game set. It can be overwhelming to make a decision- after all, you’re making an important investment in your future fun!
So how do you find the right one? How do you know? Let’s break down the cornhole buying process.
Determine Your Purpose
The first step to finding the perfect cornhole game set for you is to examine how you will use it. Do you see yourself hosting or entering tournaments, enjoying leisure time with friends and family, or tailgating?
If hosting or entering into cornhole tournaments is your calling, you will need to make sure the cornhole board you choose is regulation size. Yes, cornhole may be fun, but it can also be serious business–and cornhole tournaments are serious. You’ll need to make sure you’re getting the correct cornhole board size.
If you envision a more relaxed setting for your game time, think of your audience. Consider boards with larger holes cut out to make things easier for younger players. This is true whether your leisure activity of choice involves tailgating before the big game or a cookout.
Additionally, you’ll want to consider portability. This is particularly important if you’ll be using your cornhole game set for tailgating or tournaments.
Check for Quality
Quality is important. You don’t want to be tasked with the same decision next year (or sooner). When you purchase a cornhole game set, you want to make sure it is made of durable materials and produced by a reputable company. Do your research. Read company and individual product reviews before making your final decision.
Also, be sure to review the refund policy so that there are no surprises. Things happen and if something goes wrong, you will need to be aware of what steps you will need to take in order to get a replacement or a refund.
Together or Individually?
Next, consider how you want to make your purchase. Do you want to buy cornhole bags separately or do you want to buy an all-inclusive set?
Think about cost. Also, consider customization features. Compare each buying option with what is most important to you and best suited to your needs–present and future.
Cheap cornhole boards and bags may seem most economical. On the other hand, a custom cornhole board may be ideal. Think about replacement parts and durability. Consider long-term value.
Customization or Plain?
Even the customization options vary greatly. Some companies offer plain boards that allow you to paint and decorate the board as you like once it arrives. If this sounds too time consuming, you can opt to have the company customize the board for you.
You can also purchase customizable cornhole bags. The possibilities are endless in terms of materials and options. Once again, consider durability and refer back to your needs.
Some people would rather build their own cornhole game set. However, not everyone has the necessary woodworking skills to make that happen. And DIY sets aren’t always regulation sizes. Therefore, it is generally preferable to shop around and find exactly what you are looking for at the most reputable cornhole supplier available.
The game cornhole is fun for everyone and everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy it as they see fit.

The Custom Corn Toss-sponsored blind draw cornhole season wrapped up yesterday, November 14th at Bright House Field in Clearwater, FL as 20 of the Bay Area’s best players got together for an exciting Singles Championship. After months of weekly blind draws where players accumulated points the best of the year gathered outside the Tiki Bar for a series of single elimination, best 2 out of 3 matches.
With so many great players in the field there were exciting games being thrown on every board with many of them taking the full three games to be decided. There were upsets by the lower seeds early and often. For example, in the Round of 16, four of the eight games were won by the lower seed. That round saw the exits of the #3, 5, 6 and 8 seeds.
As play progressed two of the tournament favorites found themselves in the Championship. Joe H., who had been the #1 seed all season long, faced off against Steve F., the #7 seed who has had great success in recent tournaments including winning the latest big Bay Area tournament. They were exciting games and, in the end, Joe H. managed to take the win and complete the full season of being the #1 seed and then winning the Championship.
Joe won a 3 In the third place game, Ryan S. won a hard fought victory over Mark M.2″ Vizio flat screen and Steve F. took home a Clearwater Threshers Suite Party.
So, congrats again to Joe H. for winning the Singes Championship and to everyone who made the final tournament.
See below for the full bracket results.
Custom Corn Toss, Clearwater Threshers, 97X and Mugs on Missouri would like to thank all of the players who came out to Bright House Field this season, especially those of you who managed to join us almost every single Wednesday for the best Happy Hour in the Bay Area. We couldn’t do this without all of you, and we appreciate all the support that you have shown!
Over 55 teams came out Saturday, October 6th to Tampa Bay Club Sports annual Tosstober Cornhole Tournament. Buffalo Wild Wings in Clearwater, FL hosted this great event and provided the food and drink specials. The weather was near-perfect as many of the best players in Florida came out to try and take home the title as Best Team in Florida.
Over 10 groups of five teams started the day throwing bags against each other to set the seeding for the Championship and Bar Tab brackets. Group play proceeded quickly with the top teams separating from the field and soon everyone was divided up for single-elimination brackets with Baggin’ and Braggin’ enjoying the #1 seed.
In the Championship bracket the field was quickly whittled down to the Top 4, with Corn Slingers facing Young Guns and Cornhole U facing CFLC. Both were great games and we soon had a Championship game featuring title game regulars Corn Slingers and Cornhole U.
The first game was back and forth with Corn Slingers winning by the slimmest of margins, 21-20. They then cruised in the second game to take home the Tosstober Cornhole Tournament Championship, who have now won two of Tampa Bay Club Sport’s 2012 cornhole tournaments (the other was Super Hole, which was also held at Buffalo Wild Wings)
Over in the Bar Tab Bracket, Corndog Millionaire (all the way from South Dakota) took home the bar tab and free set of corn toss boards with a win over Thelma and Louise.
Thanks to Tampa Bay Club Sport and all of the players who made this another great cornhole tournament. Make sure to mark your calendars now for TBCS’s next big tournament, November 3rd in Tampa, FL at an exciting new venue, Grand Central @ Kennedy.
And remember, these tournaments are a great opportunity to purchase any cornhole-related products you’ll need as Custom Corn Toss is always onsite with bags, score towers, Scorzies and more!

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Irish 31 Cornhole Tournament’s this weekend at Curtis Hixon Park in Tampa, FL.
All players were treated to a fun day of cornhole and music with two different tournaments and a number of musical artists including David Cook (American Idol), Edwin McCain and Juliet Simms (The Voice).
The day started with many of the best players in Florida throwing bags in the Kin
g and Queen of Irish 31 Cornhole Tournament. Forty players signed up for this singles tournament with an interesting format that saw players randomly paired for a few games to determine seeding for the Championship bracket. After all the bags were thrown Chris C. and Scott L. met in the finals and decided to split the Championship (good idea since these two were signed up as partners for the doubles event!).
Following the Singles tournament was the $3000 Doubles Tournament that featured 28 teams battling out for title. Regular title contenders Cornhole U. (John A. and Chewy) made it through the winners bracket where they faced Corn In The Bay (Chris C. and Scott L.) in the finals. Corn In The Bay managed to take two games and win the Championship, completing a perfect day for Chris and Scott.
Thanks again to everyone who made this such a fun event!
