Past Corntoss Events
Last Saturday, 31 teams made it out to Graffiti Junction in Clermont, FLfor Central Florida Cornhole’s first tournament at this great new location.
The weather was perfect and the competition was fierce as Corn In The Bay, the Spring Hill / Tampa team of Scott L. and Chris C., tore through pool play allowing only 10 points through four games to claim the #1 seed heading into the double-elimination Championship winner’s bracket. But, with all the first-class throwers in attendance, the top seed didn’t give them any breaks and they were taken down in two straight games.
The #1 seeds early exit paved the way for some other teams to make a run at the title and, after all the bags were tossed, Corn Slingers (Austin R. and Steve A.) continued their outstanding throwing in 2012 by winning the championship over the up-and-coming young team of Jon H. and Brandon P. (Crushed Corn).
The Top 5 Teams:
- CornSlingers (Austin R. and Steve A.)
- Crushed Corn (Jon H. and Brandon P.)
- Cornhole U. (Chewy and John A.)
- Grab Ur Bags (Kevin J. and Evan J.)
- Holiday Inn Express (Jason M. and Greg M.)
Thanks to Central Florida Cornhole, Graffiti Junction and Custom Corn Toss for putting together this tremendous cornhole tournament.
Central Florida Cornhole (CFLC) in conjunction with Custom Corntoss will be hosting a tournament this July 21st at Graffiti Junction in Clermont, FL (just outside of Orlando). This location has been hosting a series of blind draws for a while now that have been going great, but this is the first doubles cornhole tournament at this location.
This is a bring-your-own partner tournament that will feature pool play followed by single elimination tournament. The top teams from each pool will be entered into the cash bracket, while the bottom teams from the group will be entered into a prize bracket. This means that every team is guaranteed a minimum of four games, so come out and enjoy a full day of cornhole.
Registration for the tournament begins at 10:30am and the first cornhole bags will be thrown at 12:00pm. The cost for this tournament is $40 if you register by July 13th, or $50 if you sign up the day of the event.
Prizes vary depending on the number of teams that sign up, but CFLC and Graffiti Junction are guaranteeing a top prize of $500.
In addition to the cornhole tournament, this event will feature music from Melodic Dissent (acoustic reggae), raffles, skills challenges, and much more.

Thanks to everyone who came out to Yard of Ale’s first monthly cornhole tournament. After all the cornhole bags were tossed, final game regulars Austin and Steve took home the championship, and the prize money, with a victory over Chris and Wes.
After the regular tournament, the players stuck around for two additional blind draw tournaments, with nearly all of the main draw players sticking around for these fun events. All-in-all, it was a great full day of cornhole.
Yard of Ale was a great spot for this event with tons of room for the cornhole boards, plenty of drink specials (and a great beer selection!), and other games such as life-sized Jenga and Connect Four games that provided more fun distractions for the players.
Remember, Yard of Ale is going to be hosting a monthly cornhole tournament the last Saturday of each month, in conjunction with Custom Corntoss. This South Tampavenue turned out to be the perfect spot for a regular tournament, so make sure to mark your calendar for the next event on July 28th.
In addition, please make sure to join us in the Orlando area on July 21st for another fun tournament at Graffiti Junction in Clermont, FL. Details on this event will be posted within the week.
